Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: June 30, 2026

Welcome to PathLab Pro. By downloading, installing, or using the PathLab Pro mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the App.

1. License and Scope of Use

We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the App solely for your clinical, professional, or laboratory administrative operations, in accordance with these Terms.

You agree that you will not:

  • Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App.
  • Distribute, lease, lend, or sublicense the App to unauthorized third parties.
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based upon the App.

2. Account Registration and Security

To use the App, you must link it to your Laboratory/Institute account via Firebase Auth (email/password or Google sign-in). You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, password hashes, and database export keys.
  • All activities that occur under your account or device installation.
  • Notifying us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorized security breach or account compromise.

3. Clinical Disclaimer & Medical Responsibility

CRITICAL DISCLAIMER: The App is a clinical ERP database and report formatting tool. It does NOT perform medical diagnostics, evaluate medical tests, or make treatment decisions. All generated laboratory reports, reference ranges, and diagnostic notes must be verified, signed, and approved by a certified, legally qualified pathologist or medical practitioner prior to patient delivery.

We do not guarantee the clinical accuracy of the report templates, diagnostic note guidelines (e.g. Thyroid, LFT, ESR matrices), or reference values. You are solely responsible for ensuring that all observations and ranges are modified to reflect the calibration of your laboratory equipment and machines.

4. Database Sync and Network Reliability

The App operates on a hybrid offline-first architecture utilizing a Room SQLite local database and Cloud Firestore syncing. While we employ prefix sequences and device hashes to prevent duplicate bookings and record clobbering, you acknowledge that:

  • Synchronization requires active network connectivity. Database sync delays may occur during offline usage.
  • If local database corruption is detected, the App is configured to delete the corrupted local DB file and rebuild data from Firestore. We are not liable for any data lost due to lack of synchronization before such database rebuilds.

5. Billing, Subscriptions, and Cancellation

Use of certain advanced features, cloud sync data volumes, or custom template limits may require an active premium subscription:

  • Subscription billing is handled securely through Google Play Billing.
  • All payments are subject to Google Play Store refund policies.
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings. Upon cancellation, your access to premium features will continue until the end of the current billing cycle.

6. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App, including but not limited to source code, layout systems, PDF template styles, icons, and logo designs, are owned by us. No rights are transferred to you other than the limited license to use the App under Section 1.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PathLab Pro and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of patient records, diagnostic errors, loss of revenue, business interruptions, or legal disputes arising from report deliveries, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Termination

We reserves the right to terminate your license and disable your account access at any time, with or without cause, including but not limited to violations of these Terms or failure to pay subscription fees. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete all local copies.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which our business is incorporated, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
